World Bodypainting Festival 2019 is a visual culture & music festival held in Klagenfurt, in southern Austria.

Established back in 1998, the festival has drawn a faithful crowd that continues to grow as it enters its second decade in earnest. As its name suggests, the festival celebrates the human form and the art of bodypainting, with artists from 50 nationalities gathering to display their work.

In addition to the art, expect live music and DJ sets from exciting talent, plus bars and food trucks and of course workshops and masterclasses to help you express yourself through the colourful expression of bodypainting.

Participants pay 100,000 won to enter the bodypainting contest and 50,000 won for the fantasy makeup contest. Admission is free for the general public. The event also offers visitors free facepainting and nail art, as well as live music and fireworks.

Through color, movement, and design the festival turns human body in an art canvas.

150 participants from 61 teams representing 14 countries participated.

Participants are awarded for body painting, fantasy make-up, and best model.

Since 2008, the festival has been hosted on the last weekend in August.

Visitors can partake in face painting, nail art, henna, and painting experiences in addition to enjoying fireworks, and many performances.
